About SBI PO Result 2017 – According to SBI PO 2017 Notification, Result of SBI PO 2017 Preliminary Exam will be followed by the conduct of the Main exam. Significance of SBI PO Result 2017
SBI PO Preliminary Result 2017 – Result of SBI PO 2017 Preliminary Exam indicates marks and qualifying status. Candidates with marks equal to or more than prelims cut off 2017 will qualify for the main exam. Only qualified candidates as per SBI PO Preliminary Result 2017 can download the main exam admit card.
SBI PO Main Result 2017 – SBI will set qualifying cut off in mains. On obtaining marks as per cut off, candidates can appear in GD and PI. Marks obtained in SBI PO Main Result 2017 will be added to the final result.
SBI PO Final Result 2017 – Candidates must clear cut off of group discussion and interview. If they do so, then their marks will be considered for final merit list. Then, marks in written test out of 250 are converted to out of 75; interview score out of 50 is converted to out of 25, and these marks are added. Total marks out of 100 is used for merit list. Then, if the candidate is high enough in the merit list, his/her selection notifies in final SBI PO Result 2017.

About SBI PO 2017 – SBI is recruiting for the post of Probationary Officers. SBI PO Recruitment 2017 is one of the most sought after bank jobs in India. It consists of the preliminary exam, main exam, and interview. SBI PO 2017 Preliminary Exam was held on 29, 30 April 2017 and 6, 7 May 2017. According to exam analysis by subject experts, English language and Quantitative aptitude were moderately difficult, whereas, Reasoning ability was difficult. SBI PO Selection Procedure
Selection Procedure will consist of Preliminary Examination, Main Examination, and Group Discussion & Interview.
Phase-I: Preliminary Examination
Preliminary Examination consisting of Objective Tests for 100 marks will be conducted online. This test would be of 1-hour duration consisting of 3 Sections as follows.
Candidates have to qualify in each of the three tests by securing passing marks to be decided by the Bank.
The adequate number of candidates in each category as decided by the Bank (approximately 20 times the numbers of vacancies subject to availability) will be short listed for the Main Examination.
Phase-II: Main Examination
Main Examination will consist of Objective Tests for 200 marks and Descriptive Test for 50 marks. Both the Objective and Descriptive Tests will be online. Candidates will have to answer Descriptive test by typing on the computer. Immediately after completion of Objective Test, Descriptive Test will be administered.
(i) Objective Test: The objective test of 3 hours duration consist of 4 Sections for total 200 marks. The objective test will have separate timing for every section. The candidates are required to qualify in each of the Tests by securing passing marks, to be decided by the Bank.
(ii) Descriptive Test: The Descriptive Test of 30 minutes duration with 50 marks will be a Test of English Language (Letter Writing & Essay). The candidates are required to qualify in the Descriptive Test by securing passing marks, to be decided by the Bank.
Descriptive Test paper of only those candidates will be evaluated who have scored qualifying marks in the Objective Tests and are placed adequately high as per total marks in the objective test.
Penalty for Wrong Answers (Applicable to both – Preliminary and Main examination)
There will be the penalty for wrong answers marked in the Objective Tests. For each question for which a wrong answer has been given by the candidate one fourth of the marks assigned to that question will be deducted as penalty to arrive at corrected score. If a question is left blank, i.e. no answer is marked by the candidate, there will be no penalty for that question.
Phase-III: Group Discussion (20 marks) & Interview (30 marks)
The aggregate marks of candidates qualifying in both the Objective Tests and Descriptive Test will be arranged in descending order in each category. The adequate number of candidates in each category, as decided by the Bank will be called for Group Exercises and Interview. The qualifying marks in Group Exercises &Interview will be as decided by the Bank.
Candidates qualifying for Group Exercises & Interview under ‘OBC’ category would be required to submit OBC certificate containing the ‘Non-Creamy layer’ clause. Candidates not submitting the OBC certificate containing the ‘Non Creamy layer’ clause and requesting to be interviewed under General category will not be entertained.
The marks obtained in the Preliminary Examination (Phase-I) will not be added for the selection and only the marks obtained in Main Examination (Phase-II), both in Objective Test and Descriptive Test, will be added to the marks obtained in GE& Interview (Phase-III) for the preparation of the final merit list.
The candidates will have to qualify both in Phase-II and Phase-III separately. Marks secured by the candidates in the Written Test (out of 250 marks) are converted to out of 75 and marks secured in Group Exercises & Interview (out of 50 marks) are converted to out of 25. The final merit list is arrived at after aggregating converted marks of Written Test and Group Exercises &Interview out of 100 for each category. The selection will be made from the top merit ranked candidates in each category.
Results of the candidates who have qualified for Group Exercises & Interview and the list of candidates finally selected will be made available on the Bank’s website. Final select list will be published in Employment News/ Rozgar Samachar and also in Bank’s website.
